President Donald Trump is calling for a major rule that could be an absolute game-changer in criminal justice and bring hope to the police officers who face the daily wrath of those who make attempts at their life. Trump was speaking at the 37th Annual National Peace Officer’s Memorial Service when he demanded an end to one of the most disrespectful crimes against police officers, which is anything that attempts to take their lives via any sort of means. Trump wants all of the hatred and vile aggressive behavior towards police officers to end immediately. Trump believes there should be the ultimate penalty for any offenders who take the life of an officer. Trump wants the offender to lose their life as well, facing either the chair or the injection. Or, whatever other methods of legal de*th penalty there might be at the time and location of the offence/sentencing/etc.
Trump’s biggest three words towards pushing this ultimate punishment for those criminal offenders who take an officers life was “bring it forth” in which he wants those responsible for changing the laws on the punishments to step up and bring this to fruition. It’s a task that might be daunting to accomplish but if successful then it might simply end the horrible actions that numerous criminals have participated in. It’s the ultimate eye-for-an-eye punishment that could hopefully bridge the gap between officers and criminals and bring back the mutual respect they should have for each other – a respect for officers that was lost long ago when President Obama took place and portrayed an anti-police attitude.
One case in which a Philadelphia officer was ambushed and severly wounded found the person responsible being sentenced to prison and facing up to 97-years. Had the officer lost their life, then Trump’s policy might have saw the person responsible
The Daily Caller added: “President Donald Trump suggested Tuesday a mandatory de*th penalty for criminals who k*ll police officers.
Trump, speaking at the 37th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, called for an immediate end to “the att*cks on our police, and we must end them right now.”
“We believe criminals who k*ll our police should get the de*th penalty,” POTUS stated. “Bring it forth.”
Trump added that he has “directed the Justice Department to do anything within their power to defend the lives of American law enforcement.”
It should be noted that the Supreme Court ruled mandatory de*th penalties unconstitutional in 1987.”
CBS News added the following details: “President Trump delivered remarks at the 37th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service at the Capitol on Tuesday where he demanded stronger protections for law enforcement officials and an end to ambush-style att*cks of police officers across the country.
“The Trump administration has a policy and it’s very clear: We will protect those who protect us,” the president said in front of the Capitol building.
He added, to loud applause from the audience, “We believe criminals who k*ll our police should get the de*th penalty — bring it forth.”
The president, speaking beside Attorney General Jeff Sessions, called on the Justice Department to do “everything in its power to defend the lives of American law enforcement” to help “end att*cks on our police.”
“If we want to bring down violent crime then we must stand up for our police, we must condemn dangerous anti police prejudice.” The president said the country needs to now show “appreciation, gratitude and respect” for police officers.
The annual event honors law enforcement officers k*lled in the line of duty, bringing together members of the law enforcement community with families of those who lost their lives in 2017 and years prior. The president delivered a solemn message to young children of officers k*lled during duty present at the memorial service: “Your moms and dads were among the bravest Americans to ever live.”
“When danger came when darkness fell, when distraction loomed, they did not flinch. They were not afraid. They did not falter,” he said. He added, “Their immortal legacy lives on in each and every one of you. Today, every American heart bleeds blue.”
Following the morning event, the president was slated to attend Senate Republicans’ weekly policy lunch on the Hill where he is expected to discuss the administration’s legislative agenda.”
There is still much work to be done in hopes to turn Trump’s concept into a reality and end the ambushes on police officers across the country. President Trump has the best intentions in mind when it comes to protecting the police and standing up for the military as well. Trump is very supportive of those who wear the uniform and protect citizens of America.
